My Personal Code Of Ethics:
Having a Code of Ethics is important for each teacher. Although there are specific and legal code of ethics for teachers to follow, each teacher should have his/her personal code of ethics to follow. Developing these before beginning teaching is a necessary and important task in order to be prepared for future issues that may arise.

Ethical Conduct Toward Students:
- I will always look out for the best interest of my students by protecting them from situations that will cause them harm (physical or emotional).
- I will treat each student fairly and work to resolve problems or issues among each individual student.
- I will try ensure individual student success in my classroom.
- I will model tolerance, acceptance, integrity, and perseverance to my students each day.
Ethical Conduct Toward Practices and Performance:
- I will continue to further my education by reading, taking classes, attending workshops, etc.
- I will abide by the terms of my contract.
- I will adhere to my school laws and regulations.
- I will treat my body and mind with respect by eating healthy and exercising to stay healthy as much as possible.
Ethical Conduct Toward Professional Colleagues:
- I will not speak of my co-workers negatively, or spread false statements about them.
- I will include colleagues whenever possible into my curriculum.
Ethical Conduct Toward Parents and the Community:
- I will work my hardest to successfully communicate with parents on a regular basis.
- I will include parents and family members into my classroom as much as possible.
- I will be an active role-model in the community and present myself.
- I will respect cultures and traditions of all families/communities in my classroom.
